Jackie Bristow, feat. Katrina Bristow

“Everywhere you go,” the Finn brother sang, “always take the weather with you”. On ‘Let It Rain’, Jackie Bristow agrees. The song is the first single from GOLDMINE, the sixth studio album for the New Zealand-born singer-songwriter, currently based between her home country and Nashville.
The song is an Americana-style celebration of surrendering to the now and embracing joy, themes made more resonant by the fact that this is Jackie’s first recorded duet with her sister, Katrina Bristow.
The pair first appeared on stage together at the NZ Gold Guitar Awards when Katrina was eight and Jackie was 11. They spent much of their childhoods throughout the South Island in their family’s Ford Falcon, performing at festivals, rodeos and country music competitions. The 2026 release, however, is the first time they’re recorded in the studio together.
The result is a showcase of that special thing that can happen sonically when siblings harmonise (think Anne and Nancy Wilson from Heart, the Beach Boys, Haim, and, yes, Neil and Tim Finn). “Why worry, worry?” they ask, in unison. “Let it rain, let it rain, let it rain, let it rain.” Catch Jackie live this month everywhere from Ophir to Raglan to Auckland.
